Common Room’s YouTube integration requires a Google API key to import Contacts and activity. This article will walk you through creating an API key using the Google Developer Console.
Before you get started, make sure you're logged into your Google account and have opened the Google Developer Console. If you don't already have a Google account, you can create one for free.
Setup
There are three main steps you need to take to create a YouTube API key, which are outlined below. Use the interactive demo to navigate each step.
Create a new project
Open the Google Developers Console.
Create a new project named Common Room.
Enable API settings
Select and enable APIs & Services.
Search for and enableYouTube Data API v3
Create API credentials
Click Create Credentials from the API overview page, and choose Public data.
Click Restrict Key and choose the YouTube Data API v3 option
